About Me

Myself and My Profession

facebook_1689557447558_7086517560525070646.jpg

I’m originally from central MA and I love New England’s four seasons, yes even wintertime.  I enjoy taking pictures, especially of scenic New England, natural settings, flora and fauna. I especially enjoy spending time with my wife Theresa; traveling, visiting the ocean, going to concerts, sporting events and seeing Broadway shows.
I’m an adjunct psychology professor at Assumption University where I teach graduate students to be competent evidence-based CBT counselors.  (I am also a graduate of the program I teach in and am blessed to be giving back to my Alma mater.)
I have many years of experience of providing individual and group counseling.  I’m excited to start this time period of my career in private practice to continue to engage in one of my true passions – helping others with their mental health and interpersonal relationships, as well as helping people with their journey of self-discovery and wellness.

My Qualifications

Experienced and Established Mental Health Counselor.

I have 30 years of experience in the field of psychology, starting working with patients on inpatient hospital floors where I assisted in their recovery from issues stemming from mental health struggles.  In addition, I have also worked for substance abuse detoxification programs, as well as a Substance Abuse rehabilitation program, helping individuals with their recovery progress after completing detoxification from substance use.

After completing graduate school in Counseling Psychology in 2009, I started my work as Master's level therapist, with my roles providing individual and group counseling for adults in multiple settings. In 2011, I have worked as a Lincensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC  #: 7882)  battling the Opioid epidemic; helping my patients stabilize their medical health, emotional well being and the development of purposeful lives.
